JW Marriot Los Cabos Hotel Review

Relaxation.

The JW Marriott Los Cabos places a strong emphasis on relaxation and calmness, creating a serene atmosphere for its guests. Nestled along the picturesque Baja California coastline, the hotel offers a tranquil retreat with its luxurious, minimalist design and soothing color palette inspired by the natural surroundings.

Our Favorite: The Jasha Spa

The Jasha Spa at JW Marriott Los Cabos is a sanctuary of tranquility, offering an extensive range of treatments designed to rejuvenate the body and mind. The spa combines ancient healing techniques with modern wellness practices, providing services such as massages, facials, and holistic therapies. Set within a serene environment that echoes the natural beauty of its surroundings, the Jasha Spa features luxurious amenities, including hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges. Every detail is crafted to create a peaceful escape, allowing guests to experience deep relaxation and revitalization.

Our Stay:

Our week-long stay at the JW Marriott Los Cabos provided an exceptional experience, combining luxury and relaxation with outstanding amenities and five-star service. When we got there, we were immediately given welcome drinks and immersed in the stunning atmosphere. The resort’s cafe quickly became our favorite, as it offered a big selection of bubble tea, frappuccinos, and sandwiches, which were especially popular with teenagers. The dining options were amazing, with their sushi restaurant being our favorite, serving dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. We enjoyed the infinity pools and fitness center, ensuring both relaxation and recreation. The Jasha Spa offered many rejuvenating treatments that we took full advantage of. Every aspect of the stay was thoughtfully designed to create a memorable retreat.

We were also blown away by the rooms and amazing service. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning ocean view. The bed was super comfortable, and every day, we came back to a spotless room. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The combination of such comfortable accommodations and top-notch service made our stay truly unforgettable. We had the most amazing guacamole and chips, which was another highlight of our trip. Marriot, being an American brand, did an amazing job at incorporating Mexican culture into their hotel and our stay.

Cons

Although we loved the beach, unfortunately, the JW Marriott Los Cabos does not allow swimming in the ocean. This rule is similar at many of the neighboring hotels, so it is crucial to be aware of this when traveling to Cabo. The JW is also about an hour away from the other top hotels and restaurants in Cabo and is way more northern. While this may be a plus for people looking for a quiet retreat, we were let down and felt isolated from the city.

Overall, we would give this property a 8.5/10 rating.

We would definitely recommend this resort for people looking to get away from the big touristy crowds and enjoy a calming and relaxing retreat. This is unique to the typical Los Cabo vacation but is definitely worth the stay.
